Christmas Trip in Mi’ilya with Tour Guide Ofek Ron CarmelThu | Dec 18
Dates and Times
A Christmas trip to the Christian village of Mi’ilya, which includes tastings, a visit to the King’s Fortress (‘Chateau du Roi’) and a Greek Catholic church. A foreign atmosphere within driving distance.
For Christmas, the village of Mi’ilya is decorated with red Santa hats, twinkling lights, and tall fir trees.
As one of two Christian villages in the Galilee (Maybe three!? We’ll find out on the trip), Mi’ilya is a wonderful place with a European atmosphere where the Christian holiday is celebrated in the beautiful alleys.
We will start the trip with a special Christmas tea together with a local tasting and go on a tour of the twinkling alleys. We will get to know the special holiday customs of the village and see the decorated and colorful houses. We will visit the Chateau du Roi Restaurant which sits in the heart of an ancient Crusader fortress and hides underground secrets from ancient times, we will reach a Greek Catholic church which sits in the heart of the village and enjoy an atmosphere of abroad ― within driving distance.
