10:30 am – 11:30 am “Fusion Point” Concert

“Fusion Point” ― Piano and bassoon on an unexpected journey between worlds, periods and styles – at the melting point called Fusion Point. Miniatures from Baroque, classical, jazz, opera and tango – where sometimes everything mixes, and Bach suddenly finds himself swinging. Everything happens in the moment, out of inspiration, spontaneity, and pure pleasure. Even the musicians don’t always know where it will go – and that’s exactly the magic.
Musical Ensemble:
Bassoon – David Gru, international player, principal bassoon in the Israeli Opera Orchestra
Piano – Sergey Nikitiuk, virtuoso pianist, founder of the ensemble “Jazz Do It”
Guided Tour of Tarshiha: After the concert we will go on a guided tour of the fascinating village of Tarshiha. We will ascend to the sheikh’s tomb for a unique view of the Galilean landscapes, hear a little story about great sheikhs, wander through the steep alleys of the village to the churches, the mosque and the ironworkers’ market. On the way we will hear the poems of the poetess Arabia and try to understand why the Arabs of Tarshiha speak Romanian.
