Rima Khoury, daughter of Fassuta and founder of Beit Rima invites you to a once-a-year tour of the beautiful Galilean Christian village, during the most festive and decorated season of the year.

Winter has arrived in Fassuta and the Christmas atmosphere is felt in every corner. The lights are turned on, the smells are sweet, and the entire village is enveloped in an atmosphere of light, taste, and giving. Come take part in a celebration of culture, people and love in the heart of the Galilee.

The Route & Tastings:

• Beit Rima ― a warm start with spiced mulled wine and savory pastries ― a perfect start to a holiday day.
• Aviva Khoury is a local chef who will host us in her home, and pamper us with herbal tea, spiced rice, and soft grape leaves ― a celebration of traditional taste, foods that are an integral part of village holidays and also festive dishes served at local weddings.
• Iman will serve us festive European-style sweets ― cakes, chocolates, and joy-inspiring desserts

A short and pleasant walk between the stations ― between Iman and Ragada we will walk on an easy route, with a moderate ascent of only about two minutes to the church. The view, decorations, and the smell of coffee will accompany us on the way.

• At Ragada, the local roasting house, we will taste fresh nuts from the family orchard and coffee roasted on site, accompanied by the story of “The Bustrina” ― about gifts, love, and generosity of heart.
• Walied Khoury, a local artisan and blacksmith, will present his works and talk about his inspiration from life in the village.
• The Churches of Fassuta ― a tour of the ancient sites decorated with light ― an encounter with the spirit of the holiday and tradition.
• The Ancient Oil Press ― the story of the oil as a symbol of light, warmth, and abundance ― the heart of the celebration of light.
• Santa Claus ― a festive meeting to conclude with a key chain and a personal greeting for each participant ― a small souvenir from a holiday of light, taste, and smiles.
