18.12Friday
In Fassuta—a Galilean village decked out for the Christmas season—an experience awaits that weaves together art, cuisine, and local tradition. Walied Khoury, an artist and blacksmith, invites you into his world to witness his creative process firsthand and hear his personal story. The experience continues at a Christmas table laden with traditional flavors.
Christmas table laden with traditional flavors.
We will begin with a live sculpting demonstration, where you can watch Walied shape iron into a work of art. You will learn about his artistic journey and visit his gallery, which showcases his sculptures and other creations.
Following this artistic encounter, we will turn to the flavors of Christmas with a traditional meal. The menu features dishes such as stuffed chicken or meat in a special sauce—slow-cooked for hours on a taboon—alongside taboon-baked potatoes, homemade salads, unlimited wine, and sweet Christmas treats, including chocolates and festive cookies.
Since you are already in Fassuta, take some time to wander through the village—beautifully decorated for the holiday—visit the local churches, and admire the village’s grand Christmas tree. Enjoy local art, Galilean hospitality, and Christmas flavors—and get to know Fassuta through its people, creative works, and traditions.
