In honor of the Winter Festival celebrations in the Western Galilee, the Shirat Roim Dairy is hosting Chef Uri Tzur and Amit Amir from a local restaurant for a winter meal at the House of Cheese – a locally and seasonally inspired meal based on the purity of the raw materials of the Galilee, including the special cheeses from the Shirat Roim Dairy.
For one special evening, the dairy will turn into a romantic Mediterranean-inspired restaurant serving dishes based on raw materials from small Israeli producers.
The menu is fixed in advance and the exact details will be determined according to the availability of raw materials close to the event.
“Opening A Table” – starters for the center of the table in the spirit of the Mediterranean sharing experience
- Sourdough bread and olive oil from “Reish Lakish”
- Winter leaves, roasted beets on salt, and “Kinneret” cheese
- Nodi ricotta and goat cheese in a rich onion sauce
- Fried Tavor cheese with leaves and honeyÂ
- Freekeh and Paquila in a chard and crème fraîche shell
Personal Appetizer
- Raviolo ricotta and roasted pumpkin, smoked carrots, and sage butter sauce
Main Course
- Â Roasted cabbage in red wine sauce and root vegetables on roasted potatoes
Desserts to Share
- Citrus marmalade and “Peri Magdim” cheese
- Warm date cake, salty toffee sauce, and pecan ice cream
- Coffee or herbal tea
