Ecological Mobile Workshop at the Art 192 Gallery in Old Akko
Dates and Times
You are invited to the Art 192 Gallery in the restored building in Old Akko for a unique workshop for making mobiles from paper balls, led by artist Zohar Kabiri.
We will learn the art of paper weaving by using newspapers as our raw material. Acquiring this skill requires much patience, but the result is satisfying and makes you proud, and later you will be able to create independently.
Paper weaving is a folk art that originated in Brazil. It is an art that emphasizes recycling, using existing materials, and creating useful objects like storage boxes, bowls, and utensils for various purposes. In the creation process, we will always try to reduce shopping and strive for minimal waste production.
Newspaper is an available material, the use of which is short-lived. Through the workshop with the artist Zohar Kabiri from Art 192, we will learn how to give it a new life, and allow ourselves to enjoy a designed and useful decorative object, without the need to buy a new product.
Prepare a place of honor for your creation on the shelf.
