Friday in the Village: When Art Meets SoulFri | Dec 19
Dates and Times
An artistic and inspiring experiential journey in Kibbutz Kfar Masaryk, where we will meet three artists from different fields who combine color, material, and spirit in their work.
We will begin with an exciting and inspiring meeting in the studio of sculptor Yael Netanel. Yael creates female figures full of love and beauty in clay. Through them, she will talk about the processes of growth, development, and how sculpture became a healing tool for expressing internal soul processes that seek to be freed ― from a lonely girl to a sad girl and, over time, to a complete woman, who knows how to draw strength from her inner world and with its help bring light to the world.
From there, we will set off on a pleasant tour of the poets’ poems that adorn public buildings throughout Kibbutz Kfar Masaryk, we will tour between the nursery and the laundry room. The songs, some familiar with a beautiful melody, tell the story of the kibbutz from a cooperative kibbutz to a renewed kibbutz.
At the end of the path we will reach the Monio Gallery where the exhibition “Painted Iron” by two Galilean artists is being presented: Nati Romi and Omri Palmai. The exhibition presents a one-off encounter between hard and heavy materials and an imaginary, colorful and lively world. Familiar Disney characters, painted in a unique and expressive style, are given a new and different character here ― and alongside them are colorful and dynamic sculptures that combine iron and other materials. The cold industrial material receives new life, moving between sculpture and painting, and tells a story of rebirth.
We will end the tour in the Thomas Coffee Cart in the First Courtyard with good coffee and a wonderful menu (separate payment).
