The Most Stunning New & Upcoming Luxury Hotels in Jerusalem
With Jerusalem becoming an increasingly popular destination for travelers from around the world, some of the most esteemed national and international hotel brands have taken notice and are making their way to Jerusalem.

Brown Jerusalem (November 2016)

While it might not be an international household name just yet, the scheduled November 2016 opening of Brown Jerusalem by the Tel Aviv-based Brown Hotels group is one of the most exciting developments to hit the city’s accommodation sector in years.
Brown Hotels already operates 2 wildly popular small-scale luxury concept hotels in Tel Aviv, Brown TLV urban hotel and Brown Beach House and added Brown Beach House Croatia over the summer of 2016. The plan is to bring the same high standards and creativity to Jerusalem that have made them darlings of the boutique hotel world, according to Brown Hotels mastermind Leon Avigad.
“It’ll be stunning. It’ll be as sexy as Jerusalem can get – a rooftop spa, Jacuzzi with day mattresses,” he says. “We’ve picked out this 19th century building [on Haneviim Street in downtown Jerusalem] with American Colony-type arches and an underground bar that used to serve as a well to this, not really a palace, but an Ottoman villa.
“Jerusalem won’t be as big as [Brown Beach House], but it also won’t be as “urban” as the Brown TLV. It’ll be bigger, nicer. Everything will be plush with wall-to-wall carpets, big beds, walk-in showers, marble on the walls. You know, I want it to be pampering.”
Avigad concedes that Jerusalem is rife with luxury accommodation, but says that while others reflect the classical, historical side of the city, he’s hoping to tap into the character of modern Jerusalem.
“Jerusalem has an amazing underground vibe, but it’s very young, super international and you need to know [the city]. It changes all the time, and you have to be on top of it. You can’t take it for granted, Jerusalem is developing.”
Herbert Samuel by Orchid Hotels

The Herbert Samuel Jerusalem Hotel opened to great fanfare over the summer of 2016, featuring not only 137 luxurious rooms but also a kosher branch of the famous Herbert Samuel Restaurant, one of Tel Aviv’s original fine dining institutions.
With a prime location on Shamai Street in the heart of downtown, extra-spacious rooms, a gorgeous classical Jerusalem design motif along with a spa, fitness center and indoor swimming pool, Herbert Samuel is poised to become a fixture of Jerusalem’s luxury accommodation scene.
